Ultrasound, Day 5 of Stims

Posted on September 3, 2013 by wildreader

I had my first look at how my body is responding to stims today. Or, rather, the doctor had his first look, and it isn’t great. He said my left ovary is not really responding, and it was funny, because the patient before me has the same problem, but it’s her right ovary. He said they don’t know why an ovary doesn’t respond. I/we are to continue medication as we have been. We’ll run out of Gonal-F if we do, so I’ll ask about that at the next appointment.

My right ovary has about 7 follicles, ranging from 8-10 mm. My left ovary has maybe 2 follicles, at about 8 mm. I cried in the parking lot in my car. My hubby did come to the appointment, which was nice. It’s the first time he’s been there when he didn’t have to be. He says to be happy I have eggs, and that quality is more important than quantity. Those things are true, so I’m hoping for quality eggs.
