Deciding to do the frozen embryo transfer

Posted on October 30, 2013 by wildreader

The doctor won’t combine an IUI with FET. He says the success rate with a 2AB day 6 frozen embryo is 25%. I think he’s blowing smoke. Everything I’ve read puts the success rate just over 10%, and that’s if it survives the thaw. I would get some of my money back if it doesn’t thaw, so I’d “only” be out $1500 this time. The procedure is just over $3000 and the medication is estimated at about $500. I think I will go ahead with it in January, because I can’t just throw the frozen embryo away (and I don’t want to deal with taking syringes and medications on an international flight in December and it’s an extra month to save money).
