IUIs

Posted on July 28, 2014 by wildreader

I had three donor sperm IUIs – two on Clomid and one with Menopur. None of them were timed well. For the third, with Menopur, I ovulated on my own, 36 hours prior to insemination. (Hello, dipsh-ts, quit wasting my d-mn money!) I am so angry. The monitoring doctor said I might ovulate on my own that night or the next day, so we should get busy (as if hubby had sperm for that?!?), so I emailed my regular doctor, who said we should go ahead and do the insemination, anyway. My period arrived exactly 14 days after the trigger shot, which indicates I ovulated 36 hours before the insemination, when the eggs had come and gone.

I don’t know if it’s an option, but if we do any more IUIs, they’re going to be accompanied by Lupron to prevent ovulating on my own.
