holy

Posted on April 7, 2009 by wildreader

A holy place is determined by the person standing there, not the actual physical location.

The location can help, of course. Forests and cathedrals feel holy. In nature, nothing demands immediate attention. It is and I enjoy. In European cathedrals, centuries of prayer, of supplication, brushed my body and settled like a shawl around me.

I often forget that holiness can be in me:

Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.
(1 CORINTHIANS 3:16-17)
